Aftercare
We are situated behind the Wynberg Junior Schools, directly opposite the Astroturf, the boy’s tennis courts and swimming pool. We have easy and safe access to the school grounds via a gate at the end of our Cul-de-Sac. This makes it easy for children to walk to the centre after school for afternoon care. For younger children, we send a teacher to fetch them from the school.
We Offer The Following:
Morning care:
Drop your children at the Centre from 7:00am. We care for and entertain them until it is time to go to school. We then walk them over to Wynberg Boys’ and Wynberg Girls’ Junior Schools and take them to their classrooms.
Collection:
After the school day, we collect the children from school and bring them back to the Centre. Once here, they change into casual clothes. Children doing extra mural activities after school, are collected by us when finished. If the extra mural activity starts later than directly after school, we take them to the Centre and return them to school at the appropriate time.
Lunch:
Everyday, all pupils are served a cooked, tasty and nutritious meal for lunch. We serve lunch until 5:15pm everyday so that even children arriving from extra mural activities, receive a meal.
Snacks:
Daycare parents are asked to pack in a mid-morning and afternoon snack for their children to enjoy. Please ensure it is a healthy snack.
Homework Supervision:
Our extremely capable and loving staff are on hand to assist children with homework. Grade 3 to 7 pupils who do not have resources at home, are encouraged to use our computers to research projects. They are also able to use the internet for research purposes only and under strict supervision. We assist the children to study when it is assessment or exam time.
Holiday care:
As we remain open during the majority of the school holidays, holiday care is included in the monthly fee. We close for a short period during the December school holidays around the Christmas / New Year period. Apart from this 10 working day break, Aftercare pupils are able to attend the Centre during all of the school holidays giving parents peace of mind knowing that their children are being cared for in a fun, safe environment at no extra cost!
Fees:
The fees are payable on a monthly basis, on the 1st of each month, in advance, for the coming month. View our current fees and times here.
